Nicknames can be changed by entering the new name in the box to the lower right or typing /nick NewName.
To have a private conversation, right click on the person's name and select Query A new tab is created for each person queried.
To take quick notes, click and drag anywhere in the chat window to open a text box. Text can be entered and edited in that box, then copied and pasted elsewhere.
