Phase I: OIO forms -> reports 1) reverse-engineer Groove's "Incidents" form in OIO 2) generate web-accessible live reports from "Incidents" data
Phase II: OIO -> Groove 1) query OIO for list of forms, form-instances (data), reports from inside Groove 2) copy OIO forms, form-instances, reports into Groove via XML-RPC or SOAP (maybe Jabber)
Phase III: Groove -> OIO 1) query Groove for list of forms, form-instances (data), reports from inside OIO 2) copy Groove forms, form-instances into OIO via XML-RPC or SOAP
Phase IV: Groove.Zope (maybe G.Zope) 1) generalize messaging mechanisms developed during Phase II and III to support use of Zope as a "Groove Workspace" 2) add presence awareness etc perhaps using Jabber 3) formalize security and access control policy across Groove Workspace and G.Zope (probably XACML)
Estimated work for each phase should be 1-2 man-month. I suspect some of you may already be working on aspects of Zope-to-Groove inter-operations. I will benefit from help learning about Groove messaging protocol to accomplish Phase II-IV.
At the end of Phase 4, we will have a free/open-source version of Groove + much enhanced form and reporting capability integrated into this Groove-like infrastructure.
